I guess being in the USA, I don´t know what KM are to miles, so I guess I will have to find a conversion book. Good for you on the risers, and your new found riding stance. I have 850 miles on my blue and silver LT, and also love it, and no problems at all, the fuel guage hand drops too quickly, mine is empty at 150, but the yellow light doesn´t come on until 200 miles, so these things will make the 250 mile mark with out exhaustion. I have a good four thousand mile trip planned and have the big black bag in from JC Whitney, that is 35 inches wide, and is 13 inches tall, I bought a two man tent today, and all the stuff that is needed, and have it up, and sprayed it good on all the seams for water leakage, so the big black bag will take care of all camping needs, and I bought a Cortec bag that is really neat and even has a rain fly that goes on it, so it will ride on top of the big bag, and the saddle bags will also have their duties, with other personal stuff, so I am ready to go and see the Colorado Rockies, the second week in September when their foilage for the aspens is in full mode. After the high stuff, I will go to the Big Bend area of Texas, and see all the gorges and canyons, then on to New Orleans, to see that before it is all cleaned up. I have all the confidence in the 900 LT, also this makes my 146th bike at my 70 years. Enjoy your trip you and your wife, I am a lone wolf, and I will be gone a long time on my trip. Joe Wisener |
