Kawasaki 900 belt noise ain´t going away. The factory setting is just too tight. I´ve had the squeal (loud shrill sound), loosened the belt, got rid of the squeal, changed tires, mechanic put the belt back on too tight, regained the squeal, loosened the belt again, got rid of the squeal. Nice bike, but a problem Kaw seems to deny having. I´ve seen looser strings on a banjo. Hope this helps.
