I have not modified my stock exhaust. You will probably not get the sound your looking for with the stock exhaust.It is a fairly restrictive design with the actual muffler located directly behind the engine in front of the back wheel. If it were me, I´d save my money and buy and after market system. You´ll make more power and save some weight to boot....Mike
