The versys has been commented on throughout the web, and I can only do so on my own experiences riding this bike. I own a 2007 model which has 8000 kil. One trip I made was 4900 kil in 5 days with no problems. It cruises at 90 to 100 mph if you prefer but watch out for tickets. The motor is not overstressed and delivers good gas mileage. I got over 300 kil to a tank. I found this 400 lb bike super stable in heavy winds, more so than some heavier bikes, maybe due to the design of small fairing. The windshield was moved to highest position, and some riders would prefer a taller model which I will install. There are side bags available, but right now I use a 3 in one rear rack by Venture which has held a lot of weight, and thought it was going to break, but not a problem and was really impressed for you can place luggage bag forward or rearward in seconds or use two of them. The front one does,nt even touch the seat which is a plus. Handling of bike is great, even when I rode through 300 miles of rain and downpour.Sevicing this bike is a breeze, like quick oil changes, etc. The chain makes no noise what so ever and did,nt need adjustment yet. The seat is as comfortable as most, but for long trips, I utilize a sheepskin cover which makes it that more comfortable. I have cruise control and gps installed which I would,nt go without. The vibrations of this bike are counteracted by the engine balancer and are acceptable when I ride it at any speed. I believe the bike will do 128 mph which is plenty fast for me, but have,nt pushed it that far. It has a sump plate at bottom of engine and a casette transmission for ease of any maintenance or repair. Warranty is 1 year and can be extended to 3 or 4.I did have a buzzing at fairing, but corrected it. Contact me if I can share more info.
