Well.... ?? it depends how crazy you are.... i would advise AGAINST riding on snowy, slushy, salted roads the throttle can be and usually is twitchy on any kind of rocket both accelerating and decelerating, this is a BAD thing on poor driving surfaces(snow/ice) I prefer to park mine when there is snow on the road, But also remember that you can easily have roads/overpasses/corners that will have frost on them, someday´s untill 3pm, these are potentially deadly. ok, end of lecture(Sorry) (Can you ride in the cold?) HELL YES. i live in central wisconsin, i´m still riding. Skiing gear or equivalent clothing will keep you nice and toasty A few pointers for you.. buy a helmet that also converts to a snomobile helmet. 1.when it´s cold out, switch to your "sled" face shield. 2.have a skarf or other neck protecting cloth. 3.have good warm gloves that are just a touch loose fitting. as well as "liner" gloves acrilic knit(cheap and warm) with, and latex or nitrile gloves(cheap, wind and water resistant)too 4.WEAR WARM, insulated boots!! just make sure you can shift and brake with them on. 5.it´s DEER season.. swap out the headlight bulb to a L/H 80/100watt instead of the factory L/H 55/60watt so you can see´em coming. LAST! remember to keep safe. wear leather under this gear, ski gear will NOT keep you from loosing your skin if something go´s haywire. and carry extra cloths just in case, sweater, socks.. Blah blah blah as far as temperature.. i drove 2 hours up to rice lake last weekend at 34 F Hope this helped.. Have Fun!! |
