it sounds to me like you are getting a bit of oil blow by through your rings. Not a big deal if you dont mind the periodic smoke, but if you want to fix the problem, you will need to seriously consider if you want to crack that case and correct the ring issue. It´s not as big of a pain as say, performing your own by-pass surgery, but it is close.
