I´ve had me Fatboy Lo since last March and I love the thing. I had a Stage I kit installed with a Super %&#!¤ and Lance Hynes drag pipes. Aye, me monster roars. Next is ape hangers, saddle bags and a removable sissy bar. Need something to strap me travel bags to. May even go with a quick detach windscreen for the long runs. I get the feeling that the front end is loose sometimes. That is not a comfortable feeling. Harley says it checks out otay. The worst thing about the 2011 is the gear ratios. Terrible. At the normal posted speeds, the engine is either over revving or dragging. No sir, I do not like the transmission. This was fixed in the 2012 model. Baker makes a kit to change the ratio and I think I´m going to invest in it. Another peeve I have is there is nothing anywhere you can attach bungee cords to to help carry anything, Of course being a Harley, parts are priced out there somewhere around Mars, The price of the bike new is fair. It is a lot of motorcycle for 16K. With the new transmission in the 2012 I would not hesitate to purchase another one. It´s a sweet machine that draws a lot of complements with just a few minor issues, Oh, I believe the 2012 comes with a 103ci engine rather than the 96ci I have. That is a huge plus. Make your day - go buy one.
