Hi, My buddy crashed a KX125 at a remote location in the Philippines. I´m not so mechanically minded, but there was some fluid leaking from the suspension unit just in front of the rear wheel (The UNI-TRAK swingarm???). The owner fixed some damage to the plastics and a a few scrapes himself, and initially seemed trustworthy to me, but is asking for around $US375 to ship a new replacement part for the rear suspension from Manila (quite a long and difficult journey from here).. seems quite expensive for the Philippines but I understand that parts aren´t cheap. I´m in a difficult situation with a friend stuck in bed 24/7 with a torn knee ligament and no hospital around. Just want to say that the money isn´t an issue so much as being taken advantage of while in a vulnerable situation. Sorry for the limited mechanical information.. but can anybody give me an idea as to whether this kind of price is reasonable? Thanks very much for any help. Cheers |
