What is your riding history? Are you an aggressive rider or casual?
I am an aggressive woods rider and was disapointed in the KLX 300R in its origanal form. But if you are indeed using it for road also it will be the best bike for you. I am 208 lbs. I have found the suspension to be very plush. I will be going to house of horsepower to get mine set up for my style of riding though as it is to plush for fast woods and rocky areas. I feel that you will want more out of it when you get it. and trust me there is a lot more you can get out of it for fairly cheap. I bought mine got used to it and then put a full Big gun EVO R header and Exghaust with a Pumper carb from Mikuni. and found a hole nother bike. Now I am Over satisfied. I would never turn down a KLX
