I have about 600 miles on my KLX. A friend that I ride with has the Suzuki DRZ650. It is a very nice bike, but he is wishing he had gone with the KLX250. The suzuki is a bit heavier for trail riding, and the kawasaki comes with a lot of the extra´s he has had to buy as add-ons. My 250 has plenty of power for on and off road riding, and handles very well. My only complaint is that 1st gear isn´t low enough for low speed trail crawling, so I am looking at going a size smaller on the front sprocket.
