I just bought KLR in November. So far great fun. I did however install a Scootworks adjustable lowering kit, Progressive front Springs and a Progressive rear shock. The bike is now two inches lower and with the suspension changes it handles really well. If you are not really familiar with the bike a Clymer repair manual is a good investment before you start tearing into it. All of the changes were fairly straight forward. Took a little over two hours for all three changes. The great part about the KLR is that you can sink a fair amount of change into the mods and still be far cheaper than a BMW or KTM. I bought all of the parts from Dual Star. They were very helpful and the prices were reasonable. |
