As far as gaining more HP... You can get an aftermarket silencer, K&N air filter, and performance camshafts. Doing something to the intake and/or exhaust will require that you re-jet the carb. I dont know what to tell you about a tach, my bike has one stock. As far as a backrest, I use a carrying case on the rack, and passengers may use that as a backrest.
