What year model is my bike?

I just bought a new bike, my brother who I bought it off says it´s a kl 250 1994 but I can´t seem to find anything on that bike, it´s like it dnt exist, is there anyway I can check something on the bike to find out wat year model it is and wether it´s a kl or not?
