I initially bought my present bike, a Kawasaki GPZ 500S, as an unwanted second choice. I bought it new in April 2004 . Till then I had always religiously owned Hondas - and nothing larger than a 125. I have always purchased from the same dealer - Marriotts in Birkenhead. I was due to be starting a new job involving a long 30 mile each way commute, much of it along the M63 motorway, and decided to go for a bigger bike and went to Marriotts with the intention of buying a 500cc Honda. They did not have anything smaller than a Honda Deuville in stock - the only new 500cc model they had in was the Kawasaki GPZ. I needed a new bike straight away. After test riding a second hand GPZ I decided to go for it. I have never looked back. I couldn´t wish for a better motorbike. The handling is superb and the power is just right for me. The economy is there, whilst at the same time it effortlessly provides me with all the extra speed I need for the motorway. It is also very comfortable. I am very proud of it. Whils´t in the car park at work, or sometimes near to the entrance of my local Asda I have often seen one or two people standing there giving it an admiring once over. It is a stylish, good looking bike.
