So true. I bought my 1991 for 450 quid, it already had a Mircon 2-1 fitted and altho the rear is only a drum, its still bloody great. One tip for this model - change the oil and oil filter every 500 miles if you can. Its well worth doing! Adds years to the life of this engine. Also you MUST make sure you keep the bearings well greased on the back/swing arm or it´ll die in 3 years. Apart from this, regular air, oil and oil filter changes and a copy of the excellent Haynes manual for this model .. and you´re guarenteed years of fantastic biking. Also, probably the most reliable and hard wearing (if revvy) engine I have ever owned in 15 years of Kawasaki. G |
