Hi John, I have this bike too, I bought it used and with only one key... which opens all! If you can´t attach helmets, you will survive, but without gas it would be really hard... ;-( My key is a small key, on its head is written "GPz", the small black gum ring around it says Kawasaki, and on the "body" there is a code with one letter and 4 numbers (BTW, the metal is rather "soft", so I made a copy in order to be safe, especially when I "fight" against the saddle when it blocks...). Is your key similar to mine? Otherwise, my guess is that they changed the ignition block... but how did they open the gas tank??? I hope you´ll solve the problem! Enjoy the KawaBomb!!;-)) Cheers, Roberto p.s.: be extremely careful to the saddle... putting the wrong things under it, around its opening mechanism, makes VERY HARD taking the saddle out (this summer I had to unmount A LOT of plastics around it in order to get it out again!) |
