This bike is great. Costs £3000 brand new and is insurance group 8. Sticking to the speed limit gets 65mpg and gives a tank range of 220 miles. 60bhp, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and 130mph flat out surprises many bigger bikes. The tyres are cheap to replace as they are sensible sizes: 110/70-17 front 130/70-17 rear. Fit Michelin Macadam 100x radials. This bike turns into corners very quickly and its easy to get the pegs down. Fun! The seat is well padded and comfy. The fairing offers good protection from the wind and rain but a taller screen makes it more effective. The twin front discs bring this 178kg bike to a stop in no time at all. Fitting braided hoses and sintered pads makes them even better. A 2-1 Micron race pipe, k&n/uni air filter, dynojet/factory jet kit boosts power to 68bhp and adding a modified gearbox sprocket really transforms this bike. Go up 1 tooth to get 140mph flat out. Go down 1 tooth to get much better acceleration and wheelies in 1st and 2nd. For the fatties, the front forks can be stiffened with thicker oil/progressive springs. The rear monoshock can be upgraded with a EMC or Hagon unit. Overall a kickass bike that can still cut it with the best of them. |
