Hi--

I seen that there doesn´t seem to be any posts here so I thought I would share my first experiences with the GPZ 305.

I´ll start by telling a bit about myself. I am 17, currently a student and on a budget.

After some planning and saving I started to look for a Standard Model motor cycle from the late 80´s in the price range I had made for myself, which was a max of $1800 CND.

I checked the ads in my news paper and such and made some calls and did some research on different bikes. I came across the ad for a 1987 GPZ 305 in working order. Long story short, I researched it some, liked what I saw. Went to the owner, looked at the bike, did some tests and loved it. So I bought it.

Now I have some freedom! I took a course for new motorcycle drivers and passed. After a new paint job and some new decals I took it out for my first ride on a GPZ 305.

I loved it. The balance, sound, response, everything about it was amazing. It fit me perfect, I love crotch-rockets and I wanted to start low, but what I got could keep up with some of the best.

It had 35000+ KMs on it and is still running great. I´ve owned it for a month or so and everything is looking good so far.

I guess my point is that the GPZ305 is an awesome bike and I enjoy it a lot. I´ve had that baby flying down a highway at 180km/h and I could have pushed it a bit faster but an old engine with that many miles mighten last me long if I treat it bad so I backed off.
