GPz dies when opening throttle quickly |

My 95 GPz has not been ridden much in recent years and starts poorly. I had the carbs cleaned by a dealer with very slow service and while it fires right up now, it still needs to be warmed up for a long time before choke can fully be shut off. From a dead stop it is hard to open the throttle quickly without killing the bike. One more point, I have played with the idle adjustment knob and either it drops to 800 or jumps to 3000. There seems to be no middle, and even when set to 800, sometimes it will drop down quickly and sometimes very slowly. This bike also has somewhat of a history of performing poorly in cool weather. What type of service should I seek out for this bike and about home much might that cost. I don´t want to get taken at the dealer for services that won´t bring my bike back to the way it used to be. |
