I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A ´81 GPZ1100. FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN A SUZUKI MAN, BUT I JUST COULD NOT PASS UP THIS DEAL, FOR MY FIRST KAWASAKI, EVER!

I PAID $1900.00 FOR A DELICATELY USED MODEL, WITH 17,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. SO FAR I HAVE SPECIAL ORDERED (trinity.com) BILLET ALUMINUM SWING ARM (4" EXTENDED, AND LOWERING THE WHOLE DEAL ABOUT 3"). COSMETICS ARE EVERYTHING TO ME....., THE BIKE MUST LOOK PRETTY! LATER I´LL ADD A PAINT JOB, POWDER COATED WHEELS, 38MM SMOOTH BORES, AND SOME OTHE GOODIES TO MAKE THE ENTIRE PACKAGE SEXY. LET FACE IT, EVENTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN A SUZUKI MAN, AND HAVE OWNED NUMEROUS GS 1100E´S, THIS KAWASAKI IS A GOOD LOOKER...., STOCK.

QUESTIONS: HOW DEPENDABLE ARE THESE POWER PLANTS?
WHAT CAN I EXPECT OUT OF A MOTOR THAT HAS 17K MILES?
SHOULD I REBUILD IT, WITH WISECO COMPONEBTS?
DID I MAKE A WISE INVERTMENT?
