I have an 86 1000r that ive had since it was brand new. In fact it was the 1st one into the state of Colorado. About 10 years or so ago gas started flooding the crackcase and i cant figure out what the hell is going on. Ive had it to 2 dealers, ive replased the petcock and vacuum hoses. Carbs apart many times and cleaned. Any tips on where i can find those little individual air cleaners so i can get get rid of that huge box. I do notice that the rubber side on the intakes never quite fit around the carbs. If i got rid of this huge air box what to do about all these stupid vacuum lines??One of you guys knows whats going on so can you give me the scoop so i can start riding again if my motor is even any good anymore.
