I run the biggest rear sprocket you can get in the rear and the smallest in the front for WVA hills. +5 in the back and -2 up front. It is almost not enough. In FL the stock gearing needs a bit more punch dropping one tooth on the front sprocket. The only use for the stock gearing I see travelling long flat (desert) distances. Got a gnarly pipe and that was also a big plus for the low end. 12%. for even MORE play with the carb needle settings. From KTM, mine was set one notch too high (for break-in). It ran really rich at 0-30% throttle settings and loaded up. I needed long stretches to blow out the \ |
