Front Brake

The front brake without any warning comes on slowly brings the bike to a stop.then frees off.Has dont this 3 times now over the year,but yesterday did this twice and then even worst no front brake at all.brake did return on way home with a lot of pumping.Have no leaks and wheels freely.any idea ??
