As an actual owner of this machine I felt compelled to add a few comments. I am a UK rider so don´t know if it´s the same as the US model. We just get 1400GTR on our fairings. The bike is superb. It´s a purpose built tourer and as such I doubt that top end speed is important. I´ve just watched a video on YouTube of a 1400GTR doing 250 Km/h which is around 150 mph in real money. I suspect there´s not much left after this. I´ve done about 2000 miles on mine so far - most of it in and around the roads of NE Scotland. It performs very well overall and handles the straights and turns comfortably. I´m still trying to find the optimum set up for the suspension as I find the factory settings a little inadequate for me. If anyone´s found a good setting for the front/rear shocks I´d be gratefull for the info. Please feel free to email me at saracengb@gmail.com. I love the way it pulls in any gear and doesn´t need to be up around the 6000 rpm mark before you start to accelerate. I´ve found it comes in about 3000-3500 which is what you need for climbing - no need to drop right down the box either as it´ll motor up gradients in 4th without any problems. I´ve got a picture of someone popping a wheelie on one of these but haven´t got round to seeing if I can do it yet! Give it time.
