I like my Concours a great deal. I have had my ´99 ´Connie´ for about a year and 1/2 (6000+ miles) and enjoyed it immensely. I have been riding since 1967, but not had that many bikes. Only about seven that I can remember. All of them smaller; Vulcan 750, CB750 & 900 Honda´s, CB250, ´72 Suzuki 250, etc. This Concours is bringing me the most fun. Check out the Concours Owners Group at http://www.concours.org. This is a super organization. Last year we had our annual rally in Pennsylvania. Lot´s of rides; lots of fun and camaraderie. Improvements that I would like to see are hydraulic valves to eliminate adjusting, more comfortable seat (mine tends to push me into the tank), and 17 inch rims for a better selection of tires. All minor stuff, but I would consider them good logical improvements. Just the same, I´m happy with my bike and I plan to keep it for the forseeable future. Good luck with your selection. |
