I too moved up from a Honda CL-175 to the mighty Mach III. Some things I remember were the transmission having neutral at the bottom, so while you were down-shifting during a turn, you could easily find yourself in neutral-not a good thing! The crankshaft was extremely robust, having six large ball-bearings supporting it. It sounded like a popcorn machine while idling, but like a Ferrari 12 cylinder at full song when you rolled on the power! So easy to start; just hold down the enrichment lever and one kick would always do it. I used a synthetic oil marketed at the time called \
