Sorry about the haybale. Do you really still have your "Bighorn?" Willing to part with it? I´ve found a cylinder, supposed to be stock, and some other parts but having trouble locating "Bighorn" bikes. Yes all the "Bighorns" came stock with an oil injector system. Most of the main bearing lube was from the injector. After modifying my 1971 so the oil pump could get oil from the tank it worked great. The 1973 came with the improvement (mods) from the factory. Moma Kaw finally got ears I think. Of course I ran in to the same attitude on their 1987 Voyager XII ignitor module. The old P/N of 21119-1179 will eventually cause the main chain (starter/alternator) to break disabling the engine but good. They changed the ignitor in late 87 to P/N 21119-1248 which corrected the starting advance problem but will not acknoledge there ever was anything amiss. Oh well, big factory attitude I guess. I do love my 1987 V-XII now though. Replaced the 1179 with a 1248 and what a difference on cold mornings or with a weak batery, WoW! ride em easy; j.kuss |
