| Hi Guys, I just bought myself a second hand Honda XR Tornado 250 in a third world country just because I had read so many reviews about it being one of the Mercedes of the bikes, one of those that are very hard to see malfunctioning. Unfortunately, after a little city tour, I sighed the papers that the vendor was now no longer responsible when I realized that there was something massively wrong. - First it was just when she reached high rpm s that she started to stutter... - Then even in very low rpm s she started choking... - Then when she got hot she randomly would shut off for about 30 seconds up to 2 minutes...(this could be in full speed) It seemed like she did not like it when I reduced the amount of acceleration and then accelerated again. - Now and then she would make her presence known by having some false ignitions. Loud explosions coming from the exhaust. Looking up on line what the cause could be many people with different motorcycles(none with the tornado)say it is somewhat related to the ignition. The CDI or the ignition coil... don´t really know much about nether but here in Honduras it is supposedly the satin in the bike... Has someone with the same bike had a similar problem or maybe knows something more specific about the problem? Desperately trying it with garlic around the \ |
