The 200 is a hell of a bike for all kinds of riding. If you do some simple low cost mods like take out the air bok snorkle and take out the spark arrestor it makes for a snappy little bike with tons of touque. For the suspension the stock is a little soft but if you can find the rear shock off of an 84 xr 200 and get it re built it will be more than adiquite. The fornt forkes can also be stiffened up by adding to the oil level and running 18 to 21 psi of pressure. If you do this however, I would get some heavy duty fork seals and run a bead of sillycone around the seal. All in all I think If you perform these simple mode you will be more then happy with a xr 200.
