I´M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR WIFE. THE XV1100 IS A LOVELY CRUISER. PLENTY OF POWER (SHAFT DRIVE) AND GREAT FOR THOSE WITH A BAD BACK. VERY COMFORTABLE UPRIGHT POSITION (I RECOMMEND A SCREEN). MUCH WEIGHTIER THAN THE 250 BUT IF YOU´RE USED TO A SHADOW 500 I´M SURE YOU´LL MANAGE JUST FINE. ONE DIFFICULTY THAT DOESN´T WORRY ME MUCH IS THAT IS A BUGGER TO SET ON ITS CENTRE STAND. I USE THE SIDE STAND BUT EVRY NOW AND THEN I TRY (UNSUCCESSFULLY) TO USE THE CENTRE ONE. I HAVE HEARD THAT A YOUNG LADY HAD AN EXTENSION MADE FOR THE FOOT LUG AND THAT WORKED FINE. HAPPY DAYS, IAN K. |
