Picked my 2003 with only 7 miles on the clock Varadero XL1000 last night and ride it home to Hampton, Middx. Mostly commuter traffic and my heart was in my mouth. Once on the A316 I was able to start appreciating why I had chosen this bike. It going like a magic carpet. Bucket loads of torque, confident road manners and for me a special ´presence´.

More about my experiences in future days.

Saturday I am off on a ride-out to Box Hill.
