| Have a 2002 Honda VTX 1800C and have been having intermittent electrical issues, possibly ground wire issues. Problem is that itermittently, when attempting to turn the bike on with the kickstand up, key on, and kill switch on run, am getting no electricity to the ingition or headlight, hence the bike will not even try to start. Battery is brand new 5 year no service top notch battery. Anyone else have itermittent problems with the bike not starting? Have no clue where to start except perhaps the kickstand kill switch. I understand the VTX 1800 is notorious for ground issues causing such problems. Any help would be appreciated. Not even my mechanic can figure it out. Last time he said the inition switch wires were not making a good connection so they were cleaned and reattached. That solved the problem for all of about 60 miles until I was once again left stranded with the bike refusing to start. |
