I have owned both. I prefer the 1800R for a few different reasons, one the power is a lot mmore , two I like the fuel injector is more resp0onsive than the carberator, third, no choke, fourth, the 1300 I had had tube tires which in the past I have had a blowout, fith I prefer the hydraulic clutch over a cable. Hope this was some help.
