I also have the 800 lb+ behemoth. Corners can be a problem. But, one early morning on I-5 I hit two separate patches of black ice. There was no time to adjust. I simply kept it straight, fine hairs alert. She went straight thru. other times, yes more than once, I´ve suddenly landed 8n my side, sliding down a road or freeway. She´s heavy. Hard to turn. Needs a big space. Lots of caution. I´ve considered a Gold Wing. Very light, balanced. But it´s not a VTX 1800.At least half the reason I ride the VTX is it just looks great. Well maybe not 50%. I just take more care. I´m in Oregon. State government feeds a lot of people. Roads are less important. I´ll never give up my VTX. the new 4 wheelers lean 45°.Im not joking about training wheels. They seem to have developed innovative suspension. Cheers |
