I had the same poblem with my vtx1300s 2003 that I bought second hand,
with 9,100 miles already on the bike. It would shake @ 40 to 45 mph. Had the tires changed & the problem went away. Sence then I´ve put 6,000 miles on the new set of tires & the bike is running smooth.
