On my 2003 Vtx 1300 I never had a problem with my bearing until now. I just had new tires mounted and when the shop tried to balance them they had trouble due to a bad bearing in the rear rim. I went ahead and had both front and rear bearing kits ordered only cost about 75 bucks for both sets. My Vtx currently has 66,000 kms on it and that was the original bearing I just replaced.
