Stalls when idling

My VTR 250 (2000) has been great since i bought it - then i took it for service two months ago and now it stalls a lot when idling in traffic. I´ve replaced the battery, checked the alternator- which is reading 14volt and fine. Anybody else had this problem? Really NOT enjoying my riding lately !!!
