For the life of me, I don´t understand why this site doesn´t show the 1987 (or 1986 for that matter) VT700C Shadow!! Did Honda even make a 750cc VT in 87? Is my bike really that rare that it doesn´t warrant it´s own discussion group? Review: I bought this bike used in 2005 with 15,000 miles. It was in near-immaculate condition, aside from needing a battery and new tires. I drive this daily to work, nearly 50 miles each way; mostly highway. I´ve been getting 55mpg on average, but just synced the carbs last weekend and it seems to be running even better with more power. I expect the mileage to go up slightly. This thing is incredibly nimble for a cruiser. I had to hard stop behind a soccer mom in a big Suburban going 50mph and I locked up the brakes. Aside from the greusome noise the tires made, the bike remained balanced and predictable even during the emergency stop. I feel very safe on this bike. |
