About the fuel consumption of a 1986 Honda Shadow VT-500. I have had mine since 1990 and have consistently gotten 55-60 mpg in the nearly 30,000 miles I have driven it. I mostly use a fairing but when I have driven without the fairing the MPG did not seem to change much.
