Hi, Wes -
Yes, it is a Shadow, the first year of the model, with lots of innovations. The tranny is 6-speed (6th is overdrive), the engine has self-adjusting hydraulic valves, I´m not sure the shaft drive is an innovation, mine gets over 60 mpg and is comfortable at interstate speeds on the road.
