You may have a faulty pulse generator coil. they are mounted on either side of the camshaft on the right side of the engine. They pick up the position of a lobe on the camshaft and tell the cdi box when to fire. These units are susceptible to damage from overheating. If your liquid cooled engine leaks and does not cool properly, these coils may be the first symptom. To check them, follow the pulse coil wiring out of the front of the motor case (right side as you sit on the bike), up to the connectors (under the tank) Each pair of wires should have @490 ohms. You cannot find this part from a honda dealer. If it is toast, I´ll help you find one.

Good luck, keep the shiny side up......
