Hei Honda folks Message from Norway. My VT500C is from -87 and I bought it in -88. I use it daily to work riding 2x 30km. I love the bike and it has now 50000km on the wheels. Lately a problem has come up. During normal ride the engine holds back when passing 4 - 4.5 thousand rpm. If I quickly gear down a couple of gears and throttle up to 6000 rpm it produce full power again and I can continue driving on that level. This is not satisfactory of course. I have checked out the carburators, but can not find any false air or foreign bodies inside. I suspect the problem to be lack of fuel distribution. Agree? My question is: Is there an acceleration pump system on the bike, for example what about the rubber tube from cylinder to fuel valve (where I choose between ordinary- and reserve tank). Am I on the track here? Another question: Lost blinker action. Have checked switch and bulbs and holders for corrosion. Still dead. I suspect the relay, but what does it look like and where does it sit? I would be glad for some help on this. Best regards Dag -55 Norway. |
