What can I modify on this bike to increase it´s performance?Carbs,Exhaust,Computer? I want something to play with in the garage and since I have this old vt500c sitting there I thought I would spend some time fixing it up. Keep in mind that I am no mechanic but I am willing to give it a try. I started to work on it since it wasn´t running and after replacing the exhaust, some electrical(plugs,caps,wires) and the front forks I now have it to the point where it idles fine and is road worthy but when I give it gas the damn things chokes and quits after about 3000rpm. I figure that I screwed up the carbs when I took them apart to clean the jets but I can´t figure it out. I would take it to a garage to get fixed but I refuse to spend more on repairs than the bike is worth. Anyway, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
