am going to buy a 1986 VT 1100 c honda shadow this weekend. It has 12,000 miles on it, and he wants 2,200 $ for it.. it looks good, does it sound like a good buy? is it a good bike? I like to take long road trips, will it hold up?

thanks for any input..want to know as much about the bike as possiable.
