Like all motorized vehicles it depends on the maintenance, periodic and preventative. If maintained properly these bikes will exceed 100,000 miles with no major issues. They have some electrical problems one being the rectifier. Replace with the new larger with more cooling fins. It will save the battery. Good luck!
