Tested both models recently. Decided on the VTEC despite sceptic´s advice about the fourthcoming 16,000 mile service which will be due this year. Will let you know how much this costs but my dealer Branson´s of Gloucester assures me it works out about £50 more than a ´normal´ VFR800. Much prefer the look of the newer vehicle. Was surprised at how stable and sure footed the bike felt two up on wet roads.
