I had a VFR700 which is about the same bike. I sold it to my friend as his first bike, though he had done a little bit or riding before and some minimal dirt riding. I started with a Interceptor 500 and for me, 5´6" and 160 lbs THAT was a good starter bike. If you´re bigger, the VFR750 can be OK because it is fairly tame, BUT if you open it up, it really has a punch STARTING at about 7000rpm. Otherwise the VFRs are nice comfortable bikes and not too wicked like a 1000cc bike. I have a 2003 VFR700 now and I love it. Frank |
