I had a starter relay lock up and mine did the same thing. Start there. Still working on mine to find a dependable relay unit. Tried the K & S universal starter relay and that´s the one that locked up. I´ve tried a couple of original units, but they have periods when they just click and won´t turn the engine. I´m taking suggestions. Good Luck and pass on any tips!!
