Starting Warm

I am a new rider and a new owner of a 1982 Honda Magna 750c. Bikes a little beat up, but great for first bike. When the bike warms up it won´t re-start. Starter turns but enginge does not. Only way to to start it then is push start it. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
