I HAD A 1984 SABRE 700 BOUGHT NEW IN 1984, RODE IT UNTIL 1987 THEN TRADED IT IN ON A VFR700 INTERCEPTOR 2, SPECIAL EDITION. THEY WERE PRACTICALLY THE SAME BIKE. I HAVE OTHER BIKES, RECENTLY RAN ACROSS ANOTHER 1984 SABRE 700, WITH 12,000 MILES, BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, YEAH, DIDN´T NEED IT- BUT WANTED IT, I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OUT OF MY FIRST ONE- AND THIS NEW, (OLD), ONE I JUST BOUGHT IS PERFECT AND THE ORIGINAL OWNER SAID HE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OUT OF IT, THERE WAS A SMALL OIL LEAK COMING FROM THE HEAD/VALVE COVER GASKET ON THE REAR HEAD- PULLED THE TANK AND TIGHTENED THE BOLTS UP AND IT WENT AWAY. I DON´T RIDE IT ALOT, BUT IT HAS NEVER MISSED A BEAT, JUST COLD NATURED, AS MOST OF MY HONDAS OVER THE YEARS SEEMED TO BE- WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS BIKE.
